The Eselsbach produced little west of Aalen- Rombach from the confluence of the Saline creek and Rauentalbaches, both approximately at an altitude of 490 m above sea level. NN spring, running in an easterly direction and here meet at an acute angle. It then flows in an approximately 50 m wide, almost undeveloped, flooded at high water levels in valley east through Unterrombach and opens on the far edge of the village in a nettle creek. The creek and its tributaries run entirely in the field of Aalen.
