Esenboğa is a town in the district Çubuk the Turkish province of Ankara. Esenboğa is located about 26 km northeast of the provincial capital of Ankara and 21 km south of Çubuk. Esenboğa had according to the last census, 1,597 inhabitants ( as of December 2010). Esenboğa was after Isen Buga, a commander of Tamerlane at the Battle of Ankara, named. Isen Buga is Old Turkish and means The Living bull.

Geography

At Esenboğa borders the villages Sünlü and Yazir in the north, to the district Akyurt belonging village Büğdüz in the East, to the district Akyurt belonging village Güzelhisar in the south, to the district Keçiören belonging village Kurusarı in the southwest and Karaköy, Karşıyaka and Kutuören in the northwest. The same Esenboga Airport is located in the city of Esenboğa.

The administrative area of Esenboğa Belediyesi is divided into eight districts ( Mahalle ) Dumlupınar Mah, Merkez Mah Esenboğa, Güldarbı Mah, Mah İkipınar, Kızılca Mah, Mah Kutuören, Melikşah Mah and Mah Yenice, each managed by a Muhtar.
