Eshkol Regional Council

The Eshkol Regional Council (Hebrew מועצה אזורית אשכול, Mo'atza Azorit Eshkol ) is a regional administration in the north-western Negev in Israel's Southern District. It is named after the third Israeli Prime Minister Levi Eshkol. He founded Mekorot, an organization that ensured the water supply of the Jewish settlements, especially in the arid northern Negev. From 1937 to 1951, Levi Eshkol director of Mekorot.

Location

The area of the regional administration is in the northern Negev between Ashkelon and Beersheba, bounded on the west by the Gaza Strip, in the east of the area of the regional administration B'nei Shimon.
