Eslām Chungar (also Islam Chomgar ) is a small town in the province of Jowzjan in northern Afghanistan.

Eslām Chungar is located on the south bank of the river Amu Darya which forms the border with the neighboring state of Turkmenistan here. The city lies at an altitude of 370 m, a hundred kilometers northeast of the provincial capital Sheberghan and one hundred kilometers northwest of Mazār -i Sharīf. The population of the city is less than 5000 inhabitants.
