Esma Agolli

Esma Agolli ( born July 1, 1928 in Tirana, † June 5, 2010 ibid ) was an Albanian actress.

Esma Agolli debuted in 1948 as a theater actress at the National Theatre Tirana ( Theatres Kombëtar ). In the course of her career Agolli embodied over 60 roles on stage, in movies and on television. Agolli played the roles of the classical theater repertoire, including the Olga in Three Sisters Lena Leonce and Lena and 1960, with Mihal Popi as a partner, the title role in Mirandolina in the Albanian premiere of the play, directed by Selman Vaqarit. In 1980 she officially retired from the stage and retired, but continued sporadically returned to the theater stage back. So she played among others in 2005 at the National Theatre Tirana in the play Streha e të harruarve of Ruzhdi Pulahës.

Your cinema debut was in 1957 as a bride in the short film Fëmijët e saj ( your children ) of Hysen Hakani. Overall, they turned five more films, but devoted himself mainly theater work.

For their artistic achievements Agolli was awarded title Honoured Artist ( s Artiste Merituar ).

Agolli died, according to her family on the morning of June 5, 2010 in her home in Tirana to a cardiac arrest. She was buried on 7 June 2010 as their wish in a private funeral in the family circle.
