Esmery-Hallon

Esmery - Hallon ( Picard: Inmery - Hallon ) is a commune with 611 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Somme in the Picardie region of northern France. The municipality is part of the Canton of Ham, and is part of the Communauté de communes du Pays Hamois.

Geography

The community is just across the creek from Eppeville Allemagne, to the southwest of Ham. The municipal area is touched in the north of the department of road D930; D186 crosses the area. On the eastern edge of the municipality are the Ferme du Bois- Bonneuil, the Good Bonneuil, the Ferme de Bonneuil and the castle and estate La Folie.

History

Since the 16th century, the pottery was operated in Esmery - Hallon; Sand and clay came from the hamlet Hallon. The partially destroyed in World War Esmery - Hallon was awarded the Croix de guerre 1914-1918.
