Espen Sandberg
Espen Sandberg ( born June 16, 1971 in Sandefjord, Norway) is a Norwegian film director and advertising film producer.
Biography
Sandberg as his future partner Joachim Rønning in Sandefjord, south of Oslo, grew up and spent his youth there. Together they collected in the film industry its first experiences in which they shot with the video camera of Rønnings father short films for the private sector. Sandberg and Rønning went to her graduation from 1992 to 1994 at a film school to Stockholm. After graduating from the Stockholm Film School, they completed their military service in the Norwegian army, where they were mainly engaged in the turning of military and commercial films for the Norwegian army. In 1995 they founded the film production company Roenberg. The name Roenberg is composed of their respective surnames " Rønning " and " Sandberg ". Your Oslo company mainly produced music videos and commercials, including for Airbus, Nintendo, Coca Cola and Nokia. The duo also led the director to the spot for ski jumping and they turned to the finals of the U.S. American football Super Bowl a Budweiser advertising.
Later, Sandberg and Rønning turned as director duo feature films. Sandberg led 2006 together with Joachim Rønning, the Mexican- American Western comedy Bandidas. In 2008, she reached in Norway for their governments in the blockbuster movie Max Manus, a great deal of attention. Sandberg turned Rønning 2012 together with a film about Thor Heyerdahl and his Kon-Tiki expedition, under the title Kon-Tiki. The film had on August 23, 2012 its world premiere at the film- norske festivalen in Haugesund. The Oslo Kon-Tiki Museum presented this in an extra show the development of this new Kon-Tiki film. Kon-Tiki was nominated in 2013 for the 85th ceremony of the Oscars in the category "Best Foreign Film ".
