The breakpoint Food City Forest is a public transport stop in Essen's city forest.

History

With the opening of the railway line Essen-Werden -Essen, which connects the Ruhrtalbahn with the Essen main railway station, opened on August 15, 1877, the station with the name Rellinghausen BM, where BM stood for the Bergisch- Märkische Railway Company. The still independent, easternmost, former collegiate Rellinghausen was eponymous. 1897 took place renaming in Rellinghausen West after the Bergisch- Märkische Railway had already been resolved.

As Rellinghausen was incorporated in 1910 for the city of Essen and since then is the railway station in the present district of the city forest, the station acquired its current name Food City Forest on January 1, 1911.

Current situation

The station is currently operating in the rail transport of the S -Bahn line S6 ( course book sections 450.6 ). It lies on the railway line Essen-Werden -Essen. In operation Jobs Directory of Deutsche Bahn train station has the abbreviation EESA and is carried in the train station category 5 as a breakpoint.

The two platforms are connected by the east of the tracks nearby reception building of the postwar period with a pedestrian overpass. Heading towards the south, the route leads to the breakpoint in the 247 -meter-long, single-track tunnel under the city Forest City Forest Place through.
