Essence Carson ( born July 28, 1986 in Paterson, New Jersey, United States) is a professional basketball player. She currently plays for the New York Liberty in the Women's National Basketball Association.

Carson studied from 2004 to 2008 at Rutgers University. Carson played at this time for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, the women's basketball team at the University.

Women's National Basketball Association
