Essex County (Ontario)
Essex County is a county in the Canadian province of Ontario. The county seat is Essex, is the administrative center of Windsor. The population is 388 782 (2011), the area of 1850.78 km ², which corresponds to a population density of 210.1 inhabitants per km ². The county is named after the English county of Essex. It is located in the extreme southwest of the province between Lake Erie and Lake St. Clair.
