The Estádio da Ressacada is a football stadium in the Brazilian city of Florianópolis. It can accommodate 15,000 spectators and serves the club Avaí FC as homestead.

History

The Estádio da Ressacada in Florianópolis, the capital of the Brazilian state of Santa Catarina, was built in the years 1982 and 1983 and opened on 15 November 1983. For the first game in the new stadium and Avaí FC CR Vasco da Gama arrived from Rio de Janeiro to a friendly match, which was won 6-1 by the top club from the metropolis in southern Brazil. The first goal in the new stadium has been achieved in this game by Vasco player Wilson Tadei. Since that day, the local club FC Avaí uses the Ressacada as the venue for home games. The club has played many years in the first Brazilian league, the Série A, but a larger title has not yet been won. However, in 2011, then was the descent into the Série B. However, fifteen times the state championship of Santa Catarina has already been won. The Estádio da Ressacada 1983 replaced the Estádio Adolfo Konder that by 1930 the home stadium of FC Avaí was until it was demolished in 1982 and gave some space for 14,000 spectators. The new stadium now has a capacity of 15,000 spectators. The record crowd in the stadium was reached when, on 17 July 1988, the regional association Blumenau was in the state championship of Santa Catarina in Avaí FC visits and 19,000 spectators watched the 2-0 victory of Avaí FC.
