The Estádio Dr. Magalhães Pessoa is a football stadium in the Portuguese city of Leiria, the União Leiria Fußballerstligisten. It was the venue of two group games in the European Football Championship 2004. The stadium holds 30,000 spectators and was officially opened by the game between Portugal and Kuwait ( 8-0 ) on 19 November 2003. The stadium was built by the architect Tomás Taveira is owned by the Municipality of Leiria. The 11,000 expanded to 30,000 seats stadium is located in a pine forest and is part of the municipal sports center.
