The Estadio Nacional is a stadium in the Peruvian capital Lima. It can accommodate 45 574 spectators and is used for club Club Deportivo Universidad San Martín de Porres and the Peruvian national football team as homestead.

Before the Estadio Nacional, as it exists in its present form was built, the Estadio Guadalupe in Lima serves as the home of the Peruvian national football team. The Estadio Guadalupe was built in 1897. In the stadium were 40,000 spectators. During the period of its existence, the Estadio Guadalupe hosted numerous competitions such as the Campeonato Sudamericanos 1927, 1935 and 1939. Decided in 1951, the President of Peru, Manuel A. Odría that the Estadio Guadalupe should be replaced by a new, more modern stadium. In the same year began the construction of a new national stadium for Peru. The construction work was completed a year later, so that the new stadium, which one gave the name Estadio Nacional, was inaugurated on 27 October 1952.
