The professional baseball team Tecolotes de Nuevo Laredo from the Liga Mexicana de Béisbol, plays its home games since the stadium opening in 2008 of the stadium. The stadium was opened on 20 March 2008 with a 5-0 success over the Tecolotes Acereros de Monclova. The stadium is one of three of the Mexican League, where is played on artificial turf.
