Estes Industries

The U.S. companies Estes -Cox Corporation, based in Penrose, Colorado, is a manufacturer of model rockets, model rocket kits and propellants for model rockets. The most interesting models of Estes are the AstroCam and Oracle, with which one can make even aerial photography.

Estes was one of the first company to manufacture finished propellant charges for model rockets, as it came in the 1950s repeatedly explosion accidents with self-made propellants.

The company was sold to the U.S. company Hobbico in January 2010.
