Estivaux

Estivaux ( Occitan Estivau ) is a French commune, located in the department of Corrèze on the western edge of the Massif Central. The municipality is a member of the Association of Municipalities Communauté de communes of trois A: A20, A89, et Avenir. The inhabitants call themselves Estivausien (nes ).

Geography

Tulle, prefecture of the department, is located about 30 km southeast easily, Brive- la -Gaillarde approximately 24 kilometers south-east and slightly Uzerche about 18 kilometers north-east. The municipality is crossed by the Vézère.

Neighboring communities of Estivaux are Vigeois in the north, Perpezac -le- Noir in the Northeast, Saint -Bonnet- l'Enfantier the southeast, Allassac in the south, Voutezac in the southwest and Orgnac -sur -Vézère in the West.

Traffic

The junction 46 to the A20 Motorway is located approximately 11 kilometers to the east.

The GR46 long-distance footpath crosses the territory of the municipality.

Description: The coat of arms is quartered, on a red field in 1 and 4, a silver tower, the other fields also show a red gespitzes silver cross and in the four corners each have a golden lily.
