Eta Virginis

Zaniah ( from Arabic الزاوية, DMG az- Zawiya, corner ' ) is the name of the fixed star η ( eta ) Virginis. Zaniah is about 250 light-years away ( Hipparcos database), has an apparent magnitude of 3.9 mag and belongs to the spectral type A2.

Zaniah can ( very rare! ) As ekliptiknaher star from the moon and planets are covered. The last eclipse of Zaniah by a planet took place on September 27, 1843 by Venus, the next will take place on November 19, 2445 by Venus again.
