Eternal Flame is a song by the Bangles in 1988, which was written by Susanna Hoffs, Tom Kelly and Billy Steinberg. It appeared on the album Everything.

History

  • The co-writer Billy Steinberg describes the song as a mix of The Beatles and The Byrds.
  • The title was inspired by the Eternal Flame. At the title screen, the songwriter came with a trip to Graceland.
  • Eternal Flame was released on January 20, 1989 worldwide. In the countries of USA, UK, Ireland, Australia, the Netherlands, Belgium, Norway and Sweden, the song was a number -one hit.
  • In the music video, the Bangles wear the song before on a beach.
