Eternalism

The term eternalism refers to positions that postulate an eternity, that is, a non- misdemeanor or a non- convertible in time, certain objects or structures, which can be related to different depending on the context, including:

  • In texts of Indian philosophy on the belief in something permanent, a permanent and causeless creator of all things, or to the independent, lasting and individual identity and consciousness. The Sanskrit term for this is Wyl. rtag pa'i lta ba.
