Etgar Keret

Etgar Keret (Hebrew אתגר קרת; born August 20, 1967 in Ramat Gan ) is one of the best-known Israeli writers and screenwriters.

Life

Keret works for television, produced short films, writes books and short stories. His books are bestsellers in Israel and have been translated into nine languages. With the Palestinian author Samir El- Youssef, he published in 2006 the band Everything Gaza - shared stories.

Keret is married to the poet and children's book author Shira Geffen and has a son with her.

The Keret House in Warsaw

The architect Jakub Szczęsny designed for Keret a house which he has fitted in Warsaw in an empty lot between two eleven-storey houses, and this is the narrowest house in the world.
