Ethel Marshall

Ethel E. Marshall (* 1924 in Buffalo ) is a former American badminton player.

Career

Marshall studied at the Bennett High School, after a year at a business school and then spent 23 years at Bell Aircraft and 18 years at Borden Inc. as Office Manager. In sports, it began after the second world war the age of 21 to train with Bea Massman at the YMCA in Buffalo. Ethel Marshall was established in 1957 with the U.S. Women's Team World Champion together with Judy Devlin Hashman, Margaret Varner, Lois Alston, Ethel Marshall, Beatrice Massman and coach Connie Davidson. National won nine U.S. Canadian title. Into old age, she gave her experience in the sport to the following generations. In tennis, she was 13 years in a row from 1948 to 1960 Buffalo City Singles Champion. In 1956, she was inducted into the U.S. Badminton Hall of Fame in 1962, she received the Ken Davidson Award and in 2002 she was included in the Hall of Fame of the Bennett High School.
