Ethnikos G.S. Athens

Ethnikos Gymnastikos Syllogos or Ethnikos Athens is one of the oldest sports clubs in Greece. The club was founded in 1893. The crew chief was Ioannis Chrysafis. Known members were Ioannis Mitropoulos, Dimitrios Loundras, Filippos Karvelas and about 15 other unknown athletes. The Sports Club took part in gymnastics at the 1896 Summer Olympics. They went on to compete bars for teams and finished third of three teams.
