Étienne Bouhot

Étienne Bouhot ( born August 8, 1780 in Bard- lès- Epoisses, † July 17, 1862 in Semur -en- Auxois ) was a French painter. He was director of the Ecole de Dessin de Semur -en- Auxois.

Life

His artistic work began with an apprenticeship as a decorative painter in Dijon. 1801 he moved to Paris. In the years 1808/ 09, he participated in panoramas of Rome, Wagram, Tilsit and Antwerp.
