Etimesgut is a district ( Ilce ) the Turkish province of Ankara, was established on 19 August 1990. Previously, he was a member of the county Yenimahalle. Etimesgut borders the counties Yenimahalle and Sincan and belongs to the city of Ankara. City and County Etimesgut are identical in terms of area and inhabitants. Etimesgut was until the 1990s the site of a long-wave radio station that sent 198 kHz on the frequency. In Etimesgut there is a now exclusively used by the military airport.
