The municipality Etnedal in Norway has a total area of 459 km ² with a north- south extent of 35.4 km and an east- west distance of 22.7 km. Etnedal has 1402 inhabitants ( as of March 31, 2013). The population density is 3 inhabitants per square kilometer.

Geography

The municipality is located in the west of Fylke Oppland and is managed by the City Bruflat. Etnedal between Dokka and Fagernes, about 60 km west of Lillehammer and 175 kilometers north of Oslo. The river Etna flows through the territory of the municipality. The municipal coat of arms Etnedals shows the old stone bridge Lundebru which is Northern Europe's largest dry stone masonry. It was in 1829 as a member of the King's Road between Christiania (Oslo ) and Bergen completed. The highest elevation is the Spåtind ( Synnfjell ) with an altitude of 1,414 meters.
