Etta Banda
Etta Elizabeth Banda is a politician from Malawi.
Biography
After graduating she most recently served as a high school teacher. In November 2000, she was elected to Geneva to chair the Global Advisory Group on Nursing and Midwifery ( Global Advisory Group on Nursery and Midwifery ) of the World Health Organization ( WHO).
Prof. Dr. Etta Banda was elected on May 19, 2009 deputies of the National Assembly, where she represents as a member of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP ) the interests of the constituency Nkhatabay - South. On June 17, 2009, President Bingu wa Mutharika called them to the Minister for Foreign Affairs in his cabinet. It was thus one of eleven ministers in the 43- member cabinet Mutharika and remained until 2011 at the office.
