Etta James Rocks the House is a live album of singer Etta James, which was published in 1964 on Argo, a sub-label of Chess Records. It includes recordings that were recorded on two days in late September 1963 at the New Era Club in Nashville, Tennessee. It remained the only live album that James has published in her time at Chess Records.

In contrast to the studio recordings, which were rather gentle and romantic shot with fiddle -laden arrangements, the live recording of the album Etta James should show as rough and fiery blues singer, which succeeded well. The only time in which the tape sat down the pace, was Etta James All I Could Do own number Is Cry, but what is saved on pace to come to emotional intensity.

In addition to their own numbers, the album contains some cover versions ( What'd I Say, Sweet Little Angel, Money, Ooh Poo Pah Doo ). On the CD reissue contains three previously unreleased tracks ( Is not That Lovin ' You Baby, All I Could Do What Cry, I Just Want to Make Love to You ). Also noteworthy are the solos of guitarist David Walker.

The album was recorded in the Blues Hall of Fame in 2008.
