Ettore Chimeri

Ettore Chimeri ( born June 4, 1924 in Lodi, Italy, † February 27, 1960 Havana, Cuba) was a Venezuelan race car driver.

Chimeri came in the early 1950s to Argentina to take part in the popular Temporadas. In 1960 he drove the Grand Prix of Argentina on a reported of him Maserati 250F. After problems with the electrics, he had to retire the race. A week after the Grand Prix, the race of the Formula Libre took place, which ended Chimeri fourth.

He was killed two weeks later in a pub to a sports car race in Cuba deadly. The carriage of Chimeri broke through a barrier and came 150 meters off the track to lie. Chimeri was still flown by helicopter to a hospital, but died a few hours later.
