Etyen Mahçupyan

Etyen Mahçupyan ( born 1950 in Istanbul) is a Turkish -Armenian journalist and editor in chief from 2007 to 2010 which appears in Armenian and Turkish Turkish weekly Agos. Mahçupyan also writes for the force as a liberal Turkish daily Taraf and Zaman.

In 1968 he graduated from Robert College, 1972 Bosphorus University with the completion engineer. From 1977 he studied economics at the University of Ankara. There Mahçupyan worked until 1980 as a lecturer. Between 1980 and 1996, he worked as an entrepreneur. From 1996 to 2000 Mahçupyan was a columnist for the Turkish daily newspaper radical. In 2000 he moved to the newspaper Yeni Binyıl ( " New Millennium "). He was a columnist for the daily newspaper Zaman From May 2001 to 2007. As editor of the Armenian- Turkish weekly Agos, he was the successor to the 2007 murdered Hrant Dink.
