Etzleben

Etzleben a municipality located in the Thuringian Kyffhauserkreis at the Lossa. It belongs to the administrative community at the decorations.

Location

Etzleben located in the Thuringian basin and in the extended position of the Unstrut valley in a fertile area. The Federal Highway 85 provides access to the area traffic default. To the north are the Hainleite and a little further the Kyffhaeuser Mountains. Eastern is the decorations. Between decorations and Hainleite is the Thuringian Gate, a Unstrut transition. South of the village is accessible Sömmerda and northwest Sondershausen than larger city.

History

Etzleben was first mentioned in 750. Wolfgang Kahl was 17 January 1000th The village is one of the pile villages. 1881 was the place a station on the railway line Sangerhausen Erfurt.
