Euarchontoglires

  • Giant slide ( Dermoptera )
  • Shrews ( Scandentia )
  • Primates (Primates )
  • Rodents ( Rodentia )
  • Lagomorphs ( Lagomorpha )

The Euarchontoglires ( other synonyms Supra Primates) are a fixed basis of molecular genetic studies superorder within the subclass of the higher mammals. The name, for which there is still no German equivalent to now, is a re-creation of Glires ( rodents), a group which includes the two orders of rodents ( Rodentia ) and lagomorphs ( Lagomorpha ), and Euarchonta, a group of tree shrews ( Scandentia ), primates (Primates ) and giant gliders ( Dermoptera ).

In the late Cretaceous period have become the Euarchontoglires in Eurasia, to which they were initially limited, their sister group, the Laurasiatheria, separated ( the common clade called Boreoeutheria ). Soon thereafter was splitting into groups of Euarchonta and Glires.
