Eufemio Zapata

Eufemio Zapata Salazar (* 1873 in Anenecuilco, State of Morelos, Mexico, † June 17, 1917 in Cuautla, Morelos ) was the older brother of the revolutionary leader and General Emiliano Zapata.

Life

He joined in 1911, shortly after the beginning of the Mexican Revolution, the armed rebellion of his brother against the regime of Porfirio Díaz. As a general of the Revolutionary army, he carried out numerous military operations in Morelos and neighboring states. He is one of the signatories to the Plan de Ayala.
