Eugen Jensen
Eugene Jensen (born 26 January 1871 in Vienna, † November 23, 1957 in Munich; native Eugene Jacobsen ) was an Austrian actor.
Life
The son of a merchant received his acting training at Ludwig Gabillon and went in 1893 to his first engagement at the Deutsches Theater Bucharest. In 1894 he appeared in Ljubljana and then in Olomouc, and later in Graz and Dresden.
In 1898 he was appointed professor at the Raimund Theater. Since 1913, he took over film roles. Mostly he played for respect personalities in The Devil Schlosser ( 1919) he played Satan. Until the 1930s, he was also seen on tour in Romania.
After the Anschluss Jensen emigrated to Switzerland in 1938. He has appeared on stage here in Bern, Basel and Zurich. Jensen was married to actresses Pink Monati and Alice Lach.
