Eugene Antonio Marino

Eugene Antonio Marino SSJ (* May 29, 1934 in Biloxi, Mississippi, USA; † 12 November 2000) was Archbishop of Atlanta.

Life

Eugene Antonio Marino joined the Congregation of St. Joseph Society of the Sacred Heart and received on 9 June 1962, the sacrament of Holy Orders.

On July 12, 1974 Pope Paul VI appointed him. Titular Bishop of Walla Walla and appointed him as Auxiliary Bishop of Washington. The Archbishop of Washington, William Wakefield tree, donated to him on 12 September of the same year the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Bishop of Columbus, Edward John Herrmann, and the Auxiliary Bishop of New Orleans, Harold Robert Perry, SVD.

March 14, 1988, Pope John Paul II appointed Archbishop of Atlanta. The inauguration took place on 5 May of the same year.

Eugene Antonio Marino resigned as Archbishop of Atlanta on July 10, 1990.
