Eugene Timmons

Eugene Timmons (* in the 20th century; † 13 May 1999) was an Irish Fianna Fáil politician.

In 1961, Timmons was elected in the constituency of Dublin North - East in the 17th Dáil Éireann, where he remained until 1965. In 1965 he was at the elections to the 18th Dáil Éireann not defend his position. Only in elections to the 19th Dáil in 1969 he succeeded in re-entry into the House of Commons, where he remained for a further successful re-election until 1977. In 1977 he resigned following his election defeat finally out of the House of Commons.

From 1965 to 1967 Timmons held the office of Lord Mayor of Dublin. He was thus the last politician who held the post for more than one term of office.
