Eugene Trubowitz

Eugene Trubowitz is an American mathematician who is engaged in analysis and mathematical physics.

Trubowitz doctorate in 1977 under Henry McKean at New York University (The inverse problem- for periodic potentials ). He is since 1983 full professor of mathematics at the ETH Zurich.

Trubowitz deals with scattering theory (partly with Percy Deift, and inverse scattering theory ), integrable systems and their connection to algebraic geometry, mathematical theory of Fermi liquids in statistical mechanics.

In 1994 he was invited speaker at the International Congress of Mathematicians in Zurich (A rigorous ( renormalization group) analysis of superconducting systems).
