Eugene V. Rostow

Eugene Victor Debs Rostow ( born August 25, 1913 in Brooklyn, New York City; † 25 November 2002 in Alexandria, Virginia) was an American legal scholar and author.

Life

After school, the authority designated by his parents to the socialists Eugene V. Debs Eugene Rostow studied law. After finishing his studies, he worked as a calculating lawyer in a law firm in New York City. He was later 1955-1965 Dean of the Yale Law School. His successor as dean was Louis Heilprin Pollak. From 1966 to 1969 Rostow was Secretary of State for Political Affairs ( Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs ) under President Lyndon B. Johnson. He then returned to Yale University, where he taught as a university teacher. Rostow wrote several books as an author.

Rostov was married to Edna Greenberg and had three children.
