Euleia heraclei is a fly from the family of fruit flies ( Tephritidae ).
Features
The flies reach a body length of 4.0 to 6.0 millimeters. Your thorax and abdomen are shiny colored yellow or blackish, the sides of the Mesonotums bear whitish longitudinal stripes. The Postscutellum is black. The species has conspicuously patterned with black binding flanks. The face bears a raised longitudinal rib.
Occurrence and life
The animals come from Europe prior to central Asia. The larvae nate in various umbelliferous plants, such as giant hogweed ( Heracleum ), parsnips ( Pastinaca ) or water hemlocks ( Cicuta ) and can occasionally cause damage to celery and parsnips in agriculture.
