Eunuchus
Eunuchus ( = The eunuchs ) is a based on a play by Menander comedy by Terence ( Publius Terentius Afer = ). It was 161 BC listed at the ludi Mega Lenses for the first time.

Action
The young Athenians Phaedria loves originating from the stranger courtesan Thais, but has the boastful soldier Thraso a rival. He wants to give her an Ethiopian slave and the eunuch Dorus. Thraso in turn gives her a young girl Pamphila that had been stolen as an infant from Attica and sold. Thais want the Athenian citizens Chremes, Pamphilas brother back, so as to gain a protector in Athens.
