Flame - Wida ( Euplectes hordeaceus )

The fire Weber or Widas ( Euplectes ) are a bird genus in the family of the weaver birds ( Ploceidae ). It includes 17 species. The term " Wida " is mainly based on Euplectes species of the genus. The males are often very striking colored like the black - red-colored Feuerwida ( Euplectes franciscanus ) or have drag -like, long tail feathers like the Hahnenschweifwida ( Euplectes progne ). The fire Weber prefer open landscapes as habitat.
