Euro Hockey Tour

The Euro Hockey Tour is the name of a combination of four major European ice hockey tournaments, where the national teams of Finland, Sweden, Russia and the Czech Republic to attend. The tour consists of the Czech Hockey Games in the Czech Republic, the Karjala Cup in Finland, the Channel One Cup in Moscow, Russia and the oddset Hockey Games in Stockholm, Sweden. The Tour has existed since the 1996/97 season and is considered the unofficial Hockey Championship, as the four teams involved are regarded as the best in Europe.

Season 1996/97

The first, however, yet deemed unofficial, Euro Hockey Tour 1996/97 Finland won on goal difference against Sweden. Basis of Appreciation were the results of the matches between Finland, Sweden, Russia and the Czech Republic in three tournaments: the Karjala Cup in Finland, the Izvestia Cup in Russia and the Sweden Hockey Games in Stockholm.

Season 1997/98

The second Euro Hockey Tour Czech Republic could decide for themselves. Basis of Appreciation were the first time the results of the matches between Finland, Sweden, Russia and the Czech Republic in four tournaments: the Česká Pojišťovna Cup in the Czech Republic, the Karjala Cup in Finland, the Baltika Cup in Russia and the Sweden Hockey Games.

1998/99 season

The third Euro Hockey Tour again confirmed the results of the Ice Hockey World Championship for Men 1998, when Sweden and Finland faced each other in the final, as in 1996/97 could only goal difference to decide the tour and Sweden nominate the winner this time. 1999/2000 season

Season 2000/ 01

Also at the end of the Euro Hockey Tour 2000/ 01 was Finland are the winners, while the reigning world champion Czech Republic was only last. The tournaments of Tour 2000 /01 were the Ceska Pojištovna Cup from August 31 to September 3, 2000, the Karjala Cup from 9 to 12 November 2000 the Baltika Cup from 17 to 20 December 2000 and the Sweden Hockey Games from 6 to 11 February 2001.

Season 2001/ 02

Also at the end of the Euro Hockey Tour 2001/ 02 was Finland are the winners, while the reigning world champion Czech Republic again just last was.

The tournaments of Tour 2001 /02 were the Ceska Pojištovna cup from 6 to 9 September 2001 in Helsinki, Finland, and Zlín, Czech Republic, Sweden Hockey Games from 6th to 11th November 2001 in Helsinki and Stockholm, the Baltica Cup from 18 to 22 December 2001, Helsinki and Moscow and the Karjala Cup, which was held in Helsinki and Stockholm from 18 to 21 April 2002, was the first tour final.

Season 2002/ 03

Also at the end of the Euro Hockey Tour 2002/ 03 was again Finland are the winners.

The tournaments of Tour 2002 /03 were the Ceska Pojištovna Cup from 5 to 8 September 2002 in Karlstad, Sweden, and Zlín, Czech Republic, Karjala Cup from 7.bis November 10, 2002 in Pardubice, Czech Republic and Helsinki, Finland, the Baltica Cup in Espoo, Finland, and Moscow, Russia, and Sweden Hockey Games, which were held from 16 to December 22, 2002 from 4 to 9 February 2003.

Season 2003/ 04

The Euro Hockey Tour 2003/ 04 consisted of the four tournaments Česká Pojištovna Cup from 4 to 7 September 2003 in Helsinki, Finland, and Pardubice, Czech Republic, the Karjala Cup from 6 to 9 November 2003 in Nyköping, Sweden, and Helsinki, Finland, the Baltica Cup from 18 to 21 December 2003, Moscow, Russia, and Sweden Hockey Games from 5 to 8 February 2004 in Helsinki, Finland, and Stockholm, Sweden. In addition, in 2004 playoffs in the " Best of Two" mode were played with the shootout for the places 1 and 3 on 16 and 18 April.

The playoffs of the tour were endowed with prize money of 135,000 euros, of which the Tour winner 75,000 euros, 25,000 euros, the Second and the third received 35,000 euros. The fact that the third party has received a higher prize money than the second, is likely to be justified by the victory in the games for 3rd place. There were also prize money of 120,000 euros for the four tournaments: 50,000 € for 1st place, € 30,000 for 2nd place, 3rd place and 25,000 euros for 15,000 Euro for 4th place after the four tournaments.

Season 2004/ 05

In the Euro Hockey Tour 2004/ 05 has been waived the discharge of Česká Pojištovna Cup because of the World Cup of Hockey, so that the competition consisted of only three tournaments.

Season 2005/ 06

In this Euro Hockey Tour 2005/ 06 of Česká Pojištovna Cup, which was canceled last year because of the World Cup of Hockey, were resumed in the standings. The Tour ie 2005/ 06 was thus again of four tournaments. There were in this season only a Final game and a third -place play- Both games found immediately following the LG Hockey Games in Stockholm.

Season 2007/ 08

The Euro Hockey Tour 2007/ 08 was launched in November 2007 and ended shortly before the World Cup with the Ceska Pojištovna Cup in April. Due to the world title fights have been omitted from this year's finals. The EHT won the Russian team that had finished all four tournaments of the tour as the winner.

Season 2008/ 09

The Euro Hockey Tour 2008/ 09 is as in the previous four tournaments; it will be held no finals. The national team of Russia won the first three tournaments discharged, the Karjala Cup, the Channel One Cup and the Czech Hockey Games, while Sweden has been successful in the LG Hockey Games. A summary score could decide the national team of Russia for themselves again.

Season 2009/10

The Czech team won the first tournament of the series, the Czech Hockey Games, the new Carlsbad KV Arena were discharged him. The national team of Russia won the Karjala Cup, while Finland was successful at the Channel One Cup and the LG Hockey Games. A summary score could thus decide the Finnish national selection for themselves.

Season 2010/11

The Finnish national team won the Karjala Cup 2010, the national team of Russia won the Channel One Cup 2010. Since the Swedes again were the LG Hockey Games win and the Czechs, the Czech Hockey Games did the constellation that each national team winning the tournament in their own country was.

Season 2011/12

After November 2011, the Russian national team won the Karjala Cup, the Sweden secured the victory for the Channel One Cup and at the oddset hockey games. Although finally the Finns with the KAJOTbet Hockey Games won a tournament victory, the Czech national champion in the overall standings and the two-time tournament champion Sweden was only last.

2012/13 season

In this EHT - season each of the teams won a tournament. In 2012, the Czechs won the Karjala Cup and the Russians the Channel One Cup. The Finns secured the victory in the oddset Hockey Games 2013 and Sweden last the Czech Hockey Games. In the settlement, however, did show that the Russian team had a clear points lead over its competitors.

2013/14 season

The EHT 2013/14 season started with a victory for the Finnish team at the Czech Hockey Games, which were published by the end of the season to - start. At home tournament, the Czech team came only on the last place.
