EuroBasket Women 2011

The European Basketball Championship of 2011, the Women ( officially: Euro Basket Women 2011 ) was the 33rd edition of the competition. It took place from 18 June to 3 July 2011 in Poland and was organized by FIBA ​​Europe. The title was won Russia that defeated the Turkish team in the final. The third place went to defending champion France.

The winner of the tournament will qualify directly for the 2012 Olympics. The four runners-up teams will get a place at a qualifying tournament, over the five other teams will qualify for the Games.

Second round

After the preliminary competition, the first three teams qualified in each group for the second round. For the most valuable player of the tournament, the Russian Jelena Danilotschkina was chosen. During the tournament course she had taken more than half of their litters from beyond the three-point line.
