EuroHockey Club Champions Cup

The Euro Hockey Club Champions Cup ( men's field ) was a of the European Hockey Federation (EHF ) be registered 1974-2007 European Cup competition, in which the men's field hockey champions of Europe were to start. Unlike some European cup competitions many other sports in the unofficially introduced since 1969 Euro Hockey Club Champions Cup was played in tournament form. The formerly known as the European Champion Clubs' Cup tournament took place over four days instead of every year at Pentecost. There were representatives from five countries secure the trophy, it cut German clubs with 16 tracks from the most successful, followed by eight successes Dutch team. Record winner Uhlenhorst Mülheim decided the tournament from 1988 to 1996 nine times in a row for themselves. Last titleholder is the Crefelder HTC with a 1-0 victory in the final over the Spanish team of Ono Atletic Terrassa. For the 2007-2008 season of the Euro Hockey Club Champions Cup of the Euro Hockey League was similar to other sports replaced by a competition with up to three participants per country.

Competition mode

Eight teams, each masters of their country, played the title. The participating countries were those whose master took the first six places in the previous year, and the two countries whose clubs had reached the final a year earlier in the second-class Euro Hockey Club Champions Trophy. The two lowest ranked countries of the Cup descended into the Trophy. The same promotion and relegation rules there were for third-class and fourth-class Challenge I Challenge II

The most recent discharge took place from 25 - instead of the Dutch representative HC Bloemendaal May 28, 2007. Defending HTC Stuttgarter Kickers could not qualify due to the defeat in the DM- final against Crefelder HTC. Overall, there were Pocztowiec with Poznań and the like last year losing in the finals Atletic Terrassa only two teams that participated in 2006.
