Euromuse

Euromuse.net is an exhibition portal that provides information as a joint project of European museums on the art and cultural history museums in Europe.

Content

The portal collects on its website information about special exhibitions, institutions and collections of European museums. In February 2014, the information included claims to about 540 museums from 28 European countries. These include the Musée du Louvre, the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, the National Museums in Berlin and the Jewish Museum in Prague. All texts on the exhibitions and collections are presented in English and in the language of the museum.

The portal was developed by the National Gallery, London; the Musée du Louvre, Paris; the Réunion des Musées Nationaux, Paris; the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna, the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam; the Statens Museum for Kunst, Copenhagen; and the National Museums in Berlin.

In a database, there is a research opportunity in about 2970 past exhibitions (February 2014). Attention is also drawn to virtual tours of participating museums as well as news and educational activities of the individual institutions.
