Europa Nostra is a monument was established in 1963 European composite, based in The Hague. It represents the interests of more than 400 non -governmental organizations and individuals from 45 countries to the European Union, the Euro Europe and UNESCO. President is Plácido Domingo.
Europa Nostra is committed to creating favorable framework conditions listed. It sees itself as an independent discussion platform for experts and interested parties who wish to promote the protection and conservation of the European cultural heritage. The composite stresses the importance of preservation for education, quality of life and for the creation and development of jobs.
Europa Nostra Germany is the national representative of Europa Nostra, based in Bonn.
The European Union Prize for Cultural Heritage / Europa Nostra Awards annually recognizes excellence in the field of conservation of cultural heritage.
Awards will be awarded in four categories:
Application is open to both large and small initiatives that can be aligned locally, nationally or internationally. The studies and projects must have been completed in each of the last three years. Applications are filed with the office of Europa Nostra International, The Hague, in English or French.
