The European Agency for Safety and Health at Work ( EU-OSHA Abbr ) aims to make the jobs in the EU safer, healthier and more productive.
It was founded on July 18, 1994 Decision of the Council and has its headquarters in Bilbao in Spain.
The Agency assumes the role of a mediator in order to gather information about safer workplaces and to analyze and disseminate to employers. It is an EU organization, which is composed of representatives of three groups: representatives of the Governments of the Member States, the employer and the employee. In addition to information for the employer wants it to advise the company, such as better working conditions can be achieved in a simple and effective way.
