European Business Aviation Association

The European Business Aviation Association ( EBAA ) is a non -profit organization and is the professional association for those working in the business aviation company headquartered in Brussels, Belgium.

History

The association was founded in 1977 by industrialist Frits Philips in the Netherlands as International Business Aviation Association. The seat was moved to Brussels in 1984 and renamed in European Business Aviation Association. The association has more than 500 members from the aviation industry.

To EBAA there are national representatives are full members of the organization are:

  • BBGA ( British Business and General Aviation Association )
  • EBAA France
  • EBAA Switzerland,
  • GBAA ( German Business Aviation Association )
  • IBAA (Italian Business Aviation Association )
  • NAOA (Norwegian Aircraft Operators Association )
  • ABAA (Austrian Business Aviation Association ), founded in January 2010

Tasks

The EBAA represents the aerospace industry, among others, to the European Aviation Safety Agency ( EASA) in matters such as the Single European Sky and emissions trading.

IBAC

The EBAA is a founding member of the International Business Aviation Council ( IBAC ), headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, which represents the interests of its members to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO ) since 1981. Together with the IBAC and its members, the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS- BAO ) was drafted and presented in 2002 at the EBACE for the first time to the public. The IS- BAO is used to create a common professional and safe environment for the operation of aircraft.

EBACE

Since 2000 takes place on the grounds of the Palexpo in Geneva every year the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition held. EBACE is organized by the EBAA and the U.S. National Business Aviation Association ( NBAA ), the visit this air show is for trade visitors possible.
