European Cricket Council

The European Cricket Council (ECC ) is the European Cricket 's governing body.

Financial and organizational support of the ECC from England and Wales Cricket Board and the Marylebone Cricket Club is supported, the Lord's Cricket Ground in London is the seat of the ECC at the same time. In 2005, the ECC has taken over the offices used by the International Cricket Council until then, after the latter has moved from London to Dubai.

The association was founded in 1997 as the successor organization to the European Cricket Federation. This former association were not yet included in the (apart from England) big four European Crickets: Scotland, Ireland, Denmark and the Netherlands.

The ECC has (as of September 2012) 32 member associations, other 15 countries are considered as so-called prospective members.
