European Economic Association

The European Economic Association ( engl. European Economic Association, short EEA) is an association of economists. It was launched in 1984 by Louis PHLIPS. Jacques Drèze became its first president. The SEA will hold workshops and conferences, and awards the John R. Hicks -Jan Tinbergen Medal and the Yrjö - Jahnsson price. They also released two economic journals. Its current president is Mathias Dewatripont (Brussels).
