European Liberal Youth

The European Liberal Youth ( European Liberal Youth), LYMEC, is an alliance of liberal youth organizations in Europe and at the same time, the youth organization of the ELDR. The name LYMEC goes back to the origins of the organization in the 1980s, when people still called itself the " Liberal Youth Movement of the European Community ". The Central LYMECs located in Brussels. Like the Young Socialists LYMEC takes on not only national liberal youth organizations, as well as individuals in the so-called Individual Member Section (IMS) and tried thus to create the first steps towards the development of a pan-European liberal party structure. German members are members of the Union as the Young Liberals and the Federal Association of Liberal university groups and several individuals, but usually also members of July and / or LHG are. In Austria, the Young Liberals Austria are member of the Union.

The association regularly organizes throughout Europe congresses, seminars and demonstrations to draw attention to the interests and suggestions of young liberal for a federal and liberal European Union and has evolved despite its comparatively short history, a strong representative young - liberal interests in Brussels.

International umbrella organization of LYMEC is the International Federation of Liberal Youth ( IFLRY ). Regional subdivisions are iSEEL Liberal Youth of the Baltic Sea ( LYBS ) and North Liberal og Ungdom radicals ( NLRU ).
